Steady, 2025

Steady, is the sound
That brings the water to Earth
Freshly, falling rain

Drop, 2025

Storms bring growth, change and evolution. This movie was filmed right from my front deck on a cool summer’s day. When it storms like this in the summer time, I am reminded of sitting on the front porch with my Grandparents. I loved watching the rains and storms come from over the mountains and feeling the temperature drop.
Artist Statement: I am a multidisciplinary artist who uses nature as a framework to explore my history and connections to the world. As an Appalachian artist, I find and gather beautiful resources like feathers, leaves and twigs from the forest around my home.

I use these sourced materials to create and tell stories about the experiences I have and have had growing up in West Virginia. Anything from my family experiences to any medical conditions and women's health issues are up for comment.

The end results are created items such as sculptures, installations, collages, prints, mixed media and videos. I enjoy developing interesting ways of looking at and hearing  the natural world around us. Many of these constructed art pieces are hand held and intimate in scale. They ask the viewer to stop, look and listen.
