Project Statement
First Home acknowledges the persistence of the material space in which my consciousness first met the world, as well as the historical conditions that shaped its fate after I moved to another city. Using family photos and found images, personal narrative, sketches from memory, and watercolor illustration, I explore my first home in a variety of conditions and contexts.
