I began mind mapping to understand the importance of my peripheral interests in relation to my artwork.
This map envisions my artistic practice as a simple machine like a stereoscopic viewmaster; used for viewing a pair of separate images as a single three-dimensional image. This illustrates how I generate ideas by overlapping concepts and interests similar to double exposures. |

This Concept sketch was inspired by combining the Myth of Atlas holding up the world, and an octopus guarding her eggs. Many species of female octopus die as a result of watching over their eggs until they hatch.
